I did something similar with my 4 year Lenova laptop last year. It had one of those hybrid drives with part of it SSD. Needless to say it never worked correctly after putting a fresh Win 10 install on it and was just slooow. Put a Samsung 1TB SSD in it and BAM! Boots up in about 10 seconds and just screams. When I first bought it I did max out the RAM to 16GBs. I'm working on an old Dell Inspiron 530a desktop (from 2008) and cloned Win 10 and put in a 120Gb SSD and now it rocks! Many laptops can be simply upgraded like this and breath longer life into them rather than buying a new one. Great video!

Great repair video! A computer that is slow to boot and locks up should trigger that bad hard drive instinct. We always recommend SSD upgrades to our customers. A bad mechanical drive is just one way to convince them to make the transition.

Carey, I saw in a video from 2018 that yo still had the train case for sale foe $250. Saw one on Ebay for $500.

Hello Linda, great video from you and i love your intro. it changes to be in front of the camera instead of behind the camera (editing), is not it. Keep doing, it's the beginning of competitor with Carey, lol. Take care you both.
That was nice work in installing the new hard drive and it is great that it didn't take you long to do it either. I have a Dell laptop which I need to get checked to see why it runs for 10 minutes and quits. I believe that it has to do with a shield which protects the Video memory. Other than that the computer works.
All that's missing is the grumpiness part and you are almost the same as Uncle Carey. LOL
