I searched for solution for months, and finally got my printer HP LaserJet 1010 working on Windows 7.
–JUST ADD NEW PRINTER (LOCAL) ON DOT4 001 PORT, WINDOWS UPDATE IT AND CHOOSE HP 3055PCL5 (HP) PRINTER FROM THE LIST AND NAME IT “HP 1010 PRINTER”
